Annual billing charges the equivalent of 10 months for 12 months of service, approximately 17% less than monthly billing. Paid subscriptions and trials are approved and billed through Shopify; Cart Reserve never collects card details.
Limits and Features
Reservations are unlimited on every plan. The peak-capacity limit is the number of carts holding real inventory at the same time. When capacity is reached, shoppers wait in a fair queue and are admitted as holds become available.

All plans use real Shopify inventory holds for eligible tracked variants and include unlimited reservation volume.
Changing Plan or Billing Cadence
You can upgrade, downgrade, switch between monthly and annual billing, or cancel from the app. Before a downgrade, Cart Reserve shows any affected protected products, retention, or analytics history so you can resolve the impact safely.
Shopify approves a new charge when a plan or billing cadence changes. Existing protection is never silently disabled because a catalog later grows beyond a plan's product limit; the app warns the merchant and gates new protected-product additions instead.
Free Plan
Free is an active subscription tier, not a trial. It protects up to three hand-picked products with real inventory holds and a fixed 10-minute timer. The storefront displays Cart Reserve attribution and uses the default responsive timer design.
Cancellation and Lapsed Billing
Cancellation is handled through Shopify. When a paid subscription ends, the store can move to Free if its protected-product configuration fits the Free limits. The app presents any required changes before the transition.
